Captain America and Star-Lord Make a Surprising Visit to Hospitals

On Saturday, March 7th, Chris Evans (who plays the role of Captain America), and his friend Chris Pratt (who plays the role of Star-Lord from the movie Guardians of the Galaxy) made a remarkable visit to a children’s hospital in Seattle after making a bet on a football rivalry they had made during the Super Bowl. Evans, who is a Patriots fan, and Pratt, who is a Seahawks fan, both speculated on which team they thought was going to win. Depending on the aftermath of the game, both of them promised to either visit the Children of Christopher’s Haven in Boston, Massachusetts (which at the time was Evan’s helping hand of choice), or visit a children’s hospital in Seattle.  After the Seahawks lost, Pratt stuck to his word and joined Evans at the hospital in Boston for kids with Cancer and other various diseases.

But with true superhero etiquette, they announced that both of them will visit both hospitals. The hospitals’ staff and the patients especially were excited.  “I was so excited when I heard the news”, said an 18-year old patient at Seattle Children’s Hospital named Maggie Mittelstaedt, who was getting a hip replacement at the time. “Guardians of the Galaxy and the Avenger movies are my favorites, and they were so nice to spend time with me.”  Evans and Pratt also brought superhero toys to hand out that were donated by Disney and Marvel.

Since the bet began in January, they also raised thousands of dollars for both of the hospitals through fundraising pages, TEAMEVANS and TEAMPRATT. If you want to learn more about this article, go to  If you liked this article, please leave a comment :) .
