If you were to visit our school this past Friday you would’ve seen groups of students wearing either blue, green, silver, red, orange, or purple!  This is because it was team color day at Hillcrest! Students showed their support to their team by wearing their team color! It was also the day that Hillcrest had their Renaissance Assembly!

Hillcrest had a great renaissance assembly filled with fun, music, entertainment and prizes! To kick off this event we had many EXTREMELY talented performers! Those performers entertained the audience with singing, dancing, and playing instruments! In between those amazing performances were students getting high-fives from their teachers!

Students who received certificates of achievement for Principal’s List, Honor Roll, and/or Perfect Attendance were immediately entered into a drawing for a prize! The prizes were given out to about four winners from the students who received these honors!

Before Mr. Gearing’s surprise performance, we had our very own spirit line perform! They were AMAZING! It is no wonder they made it to state this year! Way to go spirit line! To end it all, a group of hand-picked chorus students from Mr. Heuin’s class and a few helping performers assisted Mr. Gearing with his ending song. Great job to everyone who participated and showed their support to their team!
