Hillcrest band and chorus winter concert

The band and the chorus performed at the Hillcrest gym on Thursday, December 12th. They both sounded spectacular, and Mr. Hughens was feeling very happy about how we performed. I, myself am in Hillcrest Chorus, and I actually thought that the way that the concert band, jazz band, and falcon band sounded was spectacular. We had just the quarter to prepare for this concert and hundreds of parents, guardians, relatives, and friends gathered to watch us perform like magic. Ms. Walker, a student teacher that was at Hillcrest last quarter, now at Deer Valley High School, returned to watch, and said that she was surprised with how we performed. My personal favorite was the jazz band where they played some modern songs that would turn heads everywhere, and infamous songs that weren’t recognized. The chorus performed 7 Christmas songs, which included Christmas Trilogy, which condensed Silent Night, What Child is This, and Sleep My Savior Sleep into one song.

The video of the Chorus performing Christmas Trilogy and Have a Merry One can be found below. These performance quality is expected to be surpassed by the spring concert, so if you missed this concert to see chorus and band perform, the spring concert is a must-see for you!!
