The author, Tess Sharpe, was born in a cabin and grew up in rural California. She got an internship with the  Oregon Shakespeare Festival, then studied theater. She lives near the Oregon border and this is her first book. Other books include Mein Wildes Herz and an upcoming book in 2016, Somewhere Between Right and Wrong.

Far From You is about a girl named Sophie. She was forced into rehab because her best friend, Mina, was killed. Everyone thinks it was a drug deal gone wrong, thought she had been clean for over ten months. Sophie has almost been killed twice. The First she was in a car accident and her back and leg are forever damaged, which she is in pain a lot. The second, she was in the woods with Mina and Mina was shot while Sophie was knocked out. Sophie won’t stop until she finds out who did this to Mina. Trev, Mina’s brother, helps Sophie to bring justice to his sister. Along the way you find out secrets everyone one had including a big one Mina and Sophie shared.

I think this is a great book for anyone who likes mystery and romance. The author keeps you on the edge of your seat till the very end. You won’t suspect the killer. I would give this book five stars because the author describes certain things in the stories and gives you a lot of background about the characters. Anyone could read this book and find out how well written it is. I recommend going to the book store and buying this book. You will love it!

“Sophie…” My name wheezes out of her. She lifts her head, drags it toward mine. “Soph-” It’s the last thing she ever says.
